The life I live....

I'm a music lover who at the end of the day wants to feel as if she lived that day the best she could. Creating an amazing meal, hanging out with the amazing people I call friends, rocking out to some amazing tunes, buying a great piece of clothing or wearing bright pink lipstick..... Im optimistic about life and highlighting the moments that make it unique....

Bringing in the New Year on a Budget.

I am the queen of shopping on a budget.
I wish I could buy $100 dollar jeans or a $250 jacket or even a $50 cardigan.
But I can't and honestly I refuse.
Two reasons:
First off, I'm a student and work part time with no help from the parents.
I make little to no money and can't spend a paycheck on one item of clothing.
Second, I get bored of clothes VERY quickly.
I would rather buy a cheap clothing piece so when I get rid of it a few months later I don't feel guilty.
Also with cheaper alternatives you can try pieces you normally wouldn't.
Through out my years I have found out that you can look good no matter what price you pay.
Of course you are paying for the quality when buying expensive but like I have said no need for me there. I do a full closet cleaning of clothes every few months....because of boredom, so quality means less for me...
One day however I hope to be able to afford nice things, but until then, I'm happy with the clothing choices I make today :)

This whole outfit cost me less than $50.
White Shirt: TJ Maxx.
Sweater: Kohl's
Pants: F21
Shoes: Payless
Watch: Kohl's
Earrings: Wet Seal

I am excited for this year to begin.
I was worried with school starting next week, but I'm here to inform you I'm now excited.
This weekend I changed my major. Yep. It's true. I only had 7 classes left to take ( 5 I am taking this semester ) but was told last week I couldn't get any funding in the summer when I would finally graduate.
With the news I realized I wouldn't graduate till Fall and with that, I decided to change my major into something I am more passionate about.
Interpersonal Speech Comm.
It's the most PERFECT major for me.
It's directed towards non-profit, small business and fund raising.
After crying my eyes out knowing I would have to wait longer to have a degree, I am now thankful.
I have to take two extra classes, but it will be well worth it.
I would rather spend more time in school ending with something I am passionate about instead of graduating sooner with a degree that doesn't spark my interest.

After this change I have a new perspective on this up and coming year.
I won't let anything defeat me.
I will find the good and positive in everything and by doing this everything will work out for the better.
At the end of the day I have to be proud that I have never given up and now after years of changing majors I have finally settled on one that I know will bring me the most happiness.
It's quite a feeling.

Love you All!!!
XOXO.
