Well ladies,
I got my February Birchbox.
Thrilled?
No!
Urg, this is my problem. I love Birchbox because I love the idea.
However, almost every month I am disappointed.
I think I look forward to make up more than anything and this month wasn't up to par.
In retrospect I do think that everything I got will come in useful and truthfully everything I received I want to try. So I can't complain that much.
I'm just such a Birchbox princess.
Ignore my bratty rant.
Here is what came inside:
Eye Rock- Designer Liner. ( 4 different styles in each packet )
Juice Beauty- Green Apple Peel for Sensitive skin.
Kiehl's- Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution.
Colorscience Pro- Glow and go Travel Pull ( Color: California Girl )
Food Diaries:
PARK CAFE.
( I love all the show artwork at Park Cafe. My apartment is filled with show artwork and every time I go here I want to purchase many of the pieces in my sight. )
* I got the "Big Salad." Yeah you heard right. First off, it's a Seinfeld pun which is awesome, but in the past 7 or so years I have been going there I have NEVER, EVER seen someone order a salad. I was totally an outcast, but it was delicious. You might ask why I even got a salad at a breakfast joint? See when I am hungover ( which BTW I wish there was a better more appealing word for this ) I don't like to eat hot food. It just makes me sick so I always try ad stick with "cold" items. Don't ask, but I just wanted to try and explain myself here.... Also, most importantly, I of course got a side of park potatoes.
SQUATTERS.
Yummo! I got the greek salad with veggie burger.
It was delicious, and gluten free? I don't think so.
I have been real lazy with my gluten intolerance lately which has of course put me into a sickly daze after every meal. Why do I keep thinking it will be worth it?
THE NEW YORKER.
Daniel and I went here for our 3 year anniversary.
VERY different than anywhere we would normally go, but we decided to try it.
We went for the three course meals.
We first started out with a roasted tomato, avocado and mozzarella salad with capers. ( My favorite dish of the night.)
Then I followed my salad off with Chicken Piccata ( pretty sure not gluten free as well ) and Dan got the Fillet Mignon.
*For as long as I have dated Daniel he doesn't understand why I don't like steak. It just never has appealed to me. For years he tried to tell me once I tried a Fillet Mignon my opinion would change.
It didn't.
It was absolutely not for me. I don't like red meat at all and I don't think that will ever change.
I like chicken and turkey and that is about it ( expect my mothers pot roast?!? ) but that is it when it comes to meat. I personally would always more than not have tofu....
We ended up sharing a dessert, the Turtle Sundae but I didn't take a picture of that... I was too deep into the glass with my spoon to take the time.
DIY IDEA.
I can't remember if this is something have shared before in the past, but I always get compliments on my jewelry holder so I thought I would share with you today.

So, in May I am finally going to my first music festival and this will be one of the bands who will be attending. This song is SOOOOOOO good! I listen to it on repeat with a huge smile slapped across my face. I just can't explain the love I have for this band. I'm so excited to see them in May and dance under the burning sun in my flip flops and sunglasses :)

Well, today is Valentines day and I hope you all have an amazing one.
Dan and I have no plans for tonight.
Neither of us have ever really been into celebrating Valentines, maybe due to the fact our anniversary is the day before?
I hope though if you have plans that they turn out amazing and romantic!!!
Have a good one :)
LOVE.
XOXO.
