The life I live....

I'm a music lover who at the end of the day wants to feel as if she lived that day the best she could. Creating an amazing meal, hanging out with the amazing people I call friends, rocking out to some amazing tunes, buying a great piece of clothing or wearing bright pink lipstick..... Im optimistic about life and highlighting the moments that make it unique....

Tribal goes Casual.

I will be the first to tell you that I'm not really a fan of tribal. It's really hit stores in the past year or so with a bang. This shirt/dress however I love and it's because its a true tribal outfit not something you are going to find at Pacsun or Urban Outfitters.
Again, another hand me down from my sister. I feel so lucky she let me hang on to it as long as I have. I think it's so beautiful and I get the greatest compliments every time I wear it. I think this is because it's a very unusual outfit. I personally have never seen someone wearing one of these around before, at least here in SLC.

I am not sure exactly to where my sister got a hold of this little number, but I come from a family of hippies that find cool authentic clothing everywhere they go.

My favorite part of this shirt is the pocket in the front. It's the shape of a heart and it's very discrete....however it so big it takes up the whole shirt.... isn't that cool?

I decided to wear a group of many types of bangles. I think they go very well with the shirt... I mixed gold and silver....

.....and a GREAT pair of dangle earrings which were yet another hand me down from my mother. They are PERFECT with this shirt. My parents and I used to spend my younger days going to music festivals every weekend and she would always get jewelry from them, I'm pretty sure this is where she got these and I loved them so she handed them down to me....I feel so lucky every time I receive something from her. They all tell a story.
Another sentimental gift. I remember being a little girl and seeing her wear them all the time. I used to always touch them because they have little indentations in them that feel really nice on my fingers.

To keep the look casual I wore my maroon vans to go with the maroon type color that shows in the shirt....

I went very simple with the hair today and put it up into a top bun. I did this more the settle the outfit down and show off the beautiful design of my shirt/dress.

Remember that you can always bring a little culture into your wardrobe with a shirt like this, or hand made earrings like the ones I wore today. The best finds are ones that you know you can't find anywhere else such as art festivals, music festivals and second hand shops...

Enjoy!
